Since our founding in 2005, Environmental Watch and Management Institute (EWMI) has made a significant impact on environmental policy and practice. We have successfully advocated for stronger regulations on pollution, promoted renewable energy and energy efficiency, and helped to protect and restore natural habitats.
The Environmental Watch and Management Institute (EWMI) has been actively organizing national seminars, workshops, awareness programmes, exhibitions and community-based activities on environmental, scientific and disaster-related issues.
These programmes bring together scientists, university teachers, researchers, engineers, students, teachers and community members to share knowledge, discuss emerging challenges and promote practical approaches to environmental protection and disaster resilience.
EWMI has undertaken programmes on Earthquake Education and Public Awareness with support from the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES), Government of India. The programme included awareness activities and community outreach in different districts of Assam.
